I just watched the Passenger and I’m still trying to process the wild ride that is this horror-thriller film. The Passenger is like that one friend who crashes your road trip and refuses to leave – except this friend is a demonic presence that’s trying to kill you. If you’re in the mood for a spooky adventure, buckle up and get ready for a thrilling 94-minute ride.

The plot of Passenger revolves around a young couple whose van life adventure takes a dark turn after they witness a gruesome highway accident. As they try to move on from the traumatic event, they soon realize that they didn’t leave the crash scene alone – a demonic presence, known as the Passenger, has followed them and won’t stop until it claims them both. Directed by André Øvredal, this film promises to deliver plenty of jump scares and suspenseful moments that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

What we loved about Passenger is the way it expertly blends horror and thriller elements to create a unique viewing experience. The cast, including Lou Llobell and Jacob Scipio, deliver solid performances that make it easy to become invested in their characters’ fate. The film’s runtime of 94 minutes is also perfectly paced, with barely any dull moments to speak of. Additionally, the way the Passenger is portrayed is both terrifying and intriguing – you’ll be eager to learn more about this mysterious entity and its motivations, even as you’re trying not to scream at the characters to get away from it.

One thing that didn’t quite work for us is the lack of character development beyond the main couple – Melissa Leo and Tony Doupe are great, but their characters feel a bit one-dimensional at times. The film also relies a bit too heavily on tropes and cliches, which might make it feel a bit predictable for seasoned horror fans. Furthermore, the ending feels a tad rushed, with some plot threads left unresolved – but we won’t give away any spoilers here.

In the end, Passenger is a fun and spooky ride that’s perfect for fans of horror-thrillers like The Shining or The Conjuring. With its talented cast, well-paced runtime, and terrifying villain, it’s definitely worth checking out – just be sure to watch it with the lights on. We’d give Passenger a solid 7.5 out of 10, and we’re excited to see what André Øvredal does next. So, if you’re ready for a thrilling adventure, hop in and buckle up – but don’t say we didn’t warn you about the Passenger!
